We created the Project Vox website to help students encounter early modern philosophy through media that provide a more complete historical picture, and to help instructors fill in this picture. The site therefore makes available information and digital resources regarding the life, works, correspondence and scholarly connections of women philosophers, who often receive little scholarly or pedagogical attention. We started with women in England and France who engaged with canonical figures in natural philosophy such as Descartes, Leibniz and Locke. In the future, we aim to give voice to other marginalized figures and areas of philosophy. We welcome your suggestions on how to expand the site.
