Jan Pišna

Jan Pišna completed Bohemian and Slovakian studies at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Currently he is a PhD candidate in Czech literature and book history at the Masaryk University in Brno and the Institute for Czech Literature at the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague. His research interests include early Czech and Slovak literature, Latin humanistic literature, reading practices and book culture in the 16th century, Czech-Slovak cultural contacts in the early modern era, and exilic editions of the Bible of Kralice. As the librarian of the Strahov Monastery library, he is assisting Project Vox with research on early modern book history in Central Europe.
