Beatriz Wallace

Beatriz Wallace is an MFA candidate and a Digital Humanities Assistant at Duke University. She studies JavaScript, color theory, typography, painting, illustration, Discrete Math and Data Visualization. Her work explores 16th-19th century anatomical illustrations and mindfulness text as a means to enhance institutional empathy and improve patient experience with illness. She previously worked as project manager and utilized SPSS to quantitatively evaluate Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and digital storytelling with child survivors of domestic violence. She's taught Interactive Design at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, the University of Missouri and Duquesne University.
